John Wright

Research Associate

John is a Senior Research Fellow at LSE Health, Department of Social Policy, at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  John completed his PhD in the Department of Politics at the University of Melbourne on federalism and the history of ideas.

At Melbourne, he also completed bachelor studies in Classics and Archaeology. John has held post-doctoral and associate appointments at the University of Birmingham in the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology working on area-based regeneration schemes and methodologies for impact assessments.

He has also completed post-doctoral work within the Research School Social Sciences at Australian National University on regulation and governance theory. Most recently, John was a Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine within Department of Public Health and Policy working on the regulation and governance of acute English hospitals. John is interested in all areas of politics from political theory and the history of ideas to policy analysis and regulation and governance
