Gerhard Schnyder

Research Associate

Gerhard Schnyder is a Lecturer in Comparative Management at King’s College London and Research Associate at the Centre for Business Research (CBR), University of Cambridge. Previous to his appointment at King’s, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Research, University of Cambridge (2007 – 2009).

His research focuses on comparative corporate governance. In particular, Gerhard is interested in the impacts of institutional, political and historical factors on the organisation of national corporate governance and business systems. Gerhard also worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Diplomacy and International Studies, SOAS, University of London (January – December 2009) where he carried out research on the role of pension funds in modern capitalism and – more precisely – on the obstacles which stop UK pension funds from becoming active in favour of corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR).

He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland (2008), an MA ("DEA") in political science from the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva (2003) and a BA ("licence") in political science from the University of Lausanne (2001).
