Duncan Sankey

Research Associate

Duncan Sankey is a Partner, Portfolio Director and Head of Credit Research at Cheyne Capital Management (UK) LLP, one of Europe’s top 15 alternative investment managers by assets under management, where he is part of a team that manages notional exposure to corporate credit in excess of $65bn.

He recently co-authored a paper with Sue Konzelmann, Frank Wilkinson and Marc Fovargue-Davies entitled “Governance, regulation and financial market instability: the implications for policy” that was published in the Cambridge Journal of Economics.

His research interests include financial market regulation in the wake of the recent crisis; the role and implications of limited liability shareholding in corporate governance; and the power dynamics between chief executives and other stakeholders in the modern corporation.

He studied Modern and Medieval Languages at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford and has an MSc. in Corporate Governance and Ethics from Birkbeck College, University of London.  He also has an IMC and sits on the Exams and Education Committee of the CFA Society of the UK.
