Angela Pober

Research Associate

Angela Pober is Director of Kinżere Limited, and is currently undertaking a PhD at King’s College London, where she is researching UK Pension Schemes to Establish the Role of Socialisation in Pension Fund Board governance. Angela’s main research interest lies in the efficacy of the trustee and governor models of governance and stewardship, in ensuring the sustainability of UK pension funds.

Angela has over 25 years of industry experience working primarily as a consultant in the Financial Services. Her clients have included FTSE100 organisations such as Barclays and Barclays Pension Trustees Ltd, Tesco, Sainsburys, Compaq, Zurich Financial Services, RBS, Direct Line Group and Barclaycard as well as having done consultancy work at Deloitte and Accenture; and she has worked for JP Morgan, Banque PariBas, Boots, TNT and PepsiCo.

She is a graduate of Loughborough University, and earned a MBA at Ashridge Business School. Angela is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a Diploma Member of the Pensions Management Institute.

She has been a non-executive director on the board of the London Pensions Fund Authority since 2009, and sits on the King's College Audit and Compliance Committee for the 2011-13 academic years. She is also a publicly elected governor of the Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Berkshire where she is Chair of the Finance and Operational Performance Committee.
